Alcantara
The outstanding properties of Alcantara make this an ever more popular option for use in vehicle interiors. The substrate material is a non-woven pad made from special microfibres crosslinked with synthetic resin. The substrate is coated on both sides with PUR, and the microfibre fleece subsequently cut open in the middle between the two PUR layers. The cut surfaces of the two halves are what form the velvety surface of Alcantara.
